DEGREE LEVELS FOR GEOGRAPHY IN UKRAINE
Geography courses are offered at two degree levels in Ukraine for both national and international students.
1: BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN GEOGRAPHY
A bachelor’s degree in geography is offered at several Ukrainian universities, and an undergraduate degree consists of 4 years.
A bachelor’s degree in geography is studied after a 10-month Ukrainian language course.
2: MASTER’S DEGREE IN GEOGRAPHY
A master’s degree in geography is offered at all those national universities in Ukraine that offer undergraduate degrees in geography.
A graduate degree program in geography is studied for 2 years after a 10-month Ukrainian language course for all foreign students.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR STUDYING GEOGRAPHY IN UKRAINE
To study for a bachelor’s degree in geography, all foreign students are required to have a secondary school certificate with them, but for few nationals this requirement differs.
For example, a Nigerian international student who has passed secondary school in Nigeria or abroad may apply for admission in Ukraine.
Ghanaian international students are also required to have a secondary school certificate with them for admission to geography undergraduate faculties in Ukraine.
Cameroonian international students with a secondary school certificate may apply for admission in Ukraine to undergraduate geography faculties.
Zambian international students also need to submit their secondary school certificate copy for admission to undergraduate faculties.
For Indian international students, the requirement for admission to undergraduate faculties is a 12-year educational certificate.
Pakistani nationals also send their intermediate certificate copy for admission to undergraduate faculties.
For a master’s degree in Ukraine at geography faculties, foreign students submit their bachelor’s degree.
ADMISSION PROCESS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN UKRAINE AT GEOGRAPHY FACULTIES
We recommend that international students send their admission documents by scanning them in the email of the admissions staff.
Once the admission documents are scanned in the email of the admissions staff, these admission documents are evaluated by the admissions office within 2 days.
After the assessment of admission documents of foreign applicants, they are sent an email informing them about their admission results.
International students who are found eligible to study geography degree programs in Ukraine are required to send their admission fee and scan the receipt to the admissions office in their email.
After receiving the admission fee, the admissions office forwards their documents to the Ministry of Education, Ukraine, and within 14 days, an official admission letter is issued.
This official admission letter is sent to the foreign applicants for their Ukraine study visa processing.
