At present there are some 29 international students from Burundi are studying in Ukraine at different universities for their desired courses.

International students from Burundi are always having great academic record in Ukraine and that is the reason that Ukraine always welcome international students from Burundi for their higher education thirst.

In Burundi there is French Language is understood and spoken with some other regional languages and they understand English too.

International students from Burundi are not so good at English so for the first year they prefer to study at Preparatory faculty for Ukrainian Language and upon completion of Preparatory course they join their desired degree programs.

Mostly international students study at state medical universities and some at engineering universities too.

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR STUDENTS FROM BURUNDI IN UKRAINE

Admission process does not differ from the other all African countries and is very easy and simple.

International students from Burundi scan their secondary school certificate copy with international travel passport copy for eligibility assessment in the Email of admission staff.

This process of assessment take 1-2 Days and eligible international applicants are sent an Email with eligibility letter.

Once eligible international applicants receive the eligibility letter,they transfer the processing fee for official study invitation by Ministry of Education,Ukraine.After receiving the admission fee we forward their documents for processing at Ministry of Education,Ukraine and the issuance process takes 2 Weeks.

After issuance of official study invitation, it is delivered to us and we send a soft copy in the Email of the international applicant.

After this the original study invitation is couriered to the postal address of the applicant for visa processing and the delivery of the invitation takes 5-6 Days maximum.

Those international students from Burundi who were found ineligible are asked to scan us more supporting document for their admission.

PROMINENT COURSES IN UKRAINE AMONG STUDENTS FROM BURUNDI

1:GENERAL MEDICINE

From Burundi very few students come to Ukraine for studying General Medicine course at national medical universities.

Burundi nationals are good at French so first year these international students from Burundi first year study at Ukrainian Language faculty in Ukraine and then join their General Medicine course at one of the national medical universities.

Burundi nationals are eligible to apply for admission in Ukraine provided they have passed their secondary school in Burundi or abroad.

2:PHARMACY

Like General Medicine course these students from Burundi also come to Ukraine  for studying  Pharmacy at pharmaceutical universities working under the Ministry of Education,Ukraine.

Burundi nationals always study their Pharmacy course in Ukrainian medium of instructions in Ukraine after completing their Ukrainian Language course at one of the Ukrainian university.

Those Burundi nationals who are good at English may study in Ukraine their Pharmacy course in English medium of instructions directly as choice always remains with international students for the medium of instructions.

Burundi nationals join in Ukraine Pharmacy course once they have passed their secondary school.

3:DENTISTRY

Few international students come to Ukraine from Burundi and join Dentistry faculties.

Dentistry is offered in Ukraine with English and Ukrainian medium of instructions and as official language in Burundi is French so they prefer to study first year at Preparatory faculty and then join their Dentistry course in Ukrainian medium of instructions.

Burundi nationals study their Dentistry courses for both degree levels in Ukraine, Undergraduate and specializations.

Burundi nationals join in Ukraine Dentistry courses once have passed their secondary school with science subjects.

We are hopeful that in Ukraine number of Burundi nationals will increase at Dentistry faculties.

4:NURSING

Nursing is one of the favorite course among international medical students from Burundi and every year few international students come to Ukraine from Burundi and study Nursing at national medical universities.

Nursing is also offered in Ukraine with two language of instructions,English and Ukrainian.

Burundi national prefer to study in Ukraine Nursing courses in Ukrainian medium of instructions after 10 Months Preparatory course.

International students from Burundi study Nursing for Bachelor and Masters in Ukraine.These international students from Burundi also come for study associate diploma in Ukraine.

For a diploma in Nursing these students from Burundi study for 2 Years at Nursing faculties in Ukraine while for a Bachelor in Nursing they study for 2 Years more and on the whole 4 Years to complete a Bachelor in Nursing.

5:MASTERS

Masters courses in Ukraine are offered in all areas of studies like medical,engineering and arts and from Burundi some international students come to study in all these areas for their Masters.

For studying at a Graduate faculty in Ukraine these Burundi nationals must hold a Bachelor degree with them already.

Masters courses are taught in both medium of instructions in Ukraine, Ukrainian and English and Burundi nationals study normally in Ukrainian medium of instructions their Masters in Ukraine.

UKRAINE STUDENT VISA PROCESS FOR THE STUDENTS FROM BURUNDI

Once the original invitation is received by the student in Burundi,He/She has to prepare following documents for the Embassy of Ukraine in Kenya or Uganda which are assigned for the national of Burundi for visa issuance.

Students gather these all documents and travel to Kenya or Uganda for their visa process which takes 2 Weeks.

We advise to check all required documents carefully before travelling to the Embassy of Ukraine in Kenya or Uganda, as missing of any document will result in returning back to homeland and wastage of time and money.

Once the visa is issued, every international applicant must scan us his/her visa copy with return air ticket as admission office has to prepare reception documents for the immigration at Ukrainian Airport.
