FOR PAKISTANI STUDENTS

Pakistani international students are in good numbers in Ukraine studying at medical universities and even at some other universities too, and more applications are in process for 2025-2026 intakes.

Pakistani international students are good at their studies, and they mostly like to study MBBS or language programs at preparatory faculties.

The native language of Pakistan is not English, but international students from Pakistan are normally good at English, and they study for their degree programs in English as their medium of instruction.

International Pakistani students, who are not good at English, in their first year, study at a language faculty to learn the Ukrainian language first, and then they start their degree programs in Ukrainian as the medium of instruction.

ADMISSION PROCESS AT UKRAINIAN UNIVERSITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL PAKISTANI STUDENTS

Before 2006, international students from Pakistan who had passed 10th class were eligible to take admission at Ukrainian universities, but after that year, the admission qualification for Pakistani international students was fixed at 10+2 years of qualification.

In Pakistan, this required qualification is called intermediate, so now international students who have a 10+2 qualification will be eligible to study in Ukraine.

According to the admission process, international students scan their 10+2 certificate with a passport copy for eligibility assessment, and it takes 1-2 days to check their documents, and they are informed about their eligibility or ineligibility.

Once found eligible, international students transfer the admission fee and scan the receipt in the email of the admissions office (ukrainianacademies@gmail.com), and their documents are forwarded to the Ministry of Education, Ukraine, for the processing of an official study invitation, which is required for visa processing at the Ukraine embassy in Pakistan. Once an invitation is issued, it is couriered to the international student, because they require an original study invitation to obtain visas.

PROMINENT COURSES IN UKRAINE FOR PAKISTANI INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

1: MBBS

MBBS is one of the most popular medical courses among international medical students from Pakistan, and every year, many Pakistani nationals come to Ukraine to study MBBS at different national medical universities.

International Pakistani medical students who have already passed their F.Sc with science subjects may apply for admission in Ukraine to MBBS faculties.

At every medical university in Ukraine, Pakistani international medical students have always been studying MBBS, and these medical universities are located in major cities in Ukraine.

2: DENTISTRY

Pakistani international medical students every year come to Ukraine and join dentistry courses at national medical universities.

Normally, Pakistani international students are good at English, so they prefer to study in Ukraine for their dentistry courses in English as their medium of instruction.

The duration of the dentistry course is 5 years in Ukraine at all medical universities.

Pakistani international medical students join Dentistry in Ukraine once they have passed their 12 years of education with science subjects.

International medical students from Pakistan, who are not good at English, study their dentistry courses after a 10-month Ukrainian language course in Ukraine.

Ukraine always accepts Pakistani international medical students warmly at dentistry faculties due to their excellent academic record at its medical universities.

3: PHARMACY

Pakistani international medical students like to study pharmacy courses abroad, and they come to Ukraine every year to study pharmacy at pharmaceutical universities.

Pharmacy is offered in two languages in Ukraine, English and Russian.

Pakistani international medical students, more than 95%, love to study pharmacy with English as their medium of instruction.

The rest of the 5% study in their first year at a language faculty and then join their pharmacy courses in Ukrainian as their medium of instruction.

Pakistani international medical students come to Ukraine to study at both degree levels in Ukraine, bachelor’s in pharmacy and master’s in pharmacy.

Ukraine welcomes Pakistani international medical students at pharmacy faculties warmly every year.

4: NURSING

Nursing is also one of the most popular programs among international students, but among Pakistani international medical students, it is not as popular as other medical courses in Ukraine.

Pakistani international medical students come to study nursing every year in Ukraine, but in a few numbers.

Nursing is offered in Ukraine at 3 levels of education: associate diploma in nursing, bachelor’s in nursing, and master’s in nursing.

Pakistani international medical students join different levels of nursing education in Ukraine.

To apply in Ukraine for a nursing diploma or bachelor’s programs, Pakistani international medical students are required to present their F.Sc certificate copy, while for a master’s in nursing, Pakistani international medical students apply with a bachelor’s degree.

5: MASTERS

Master’s courses in Ukraine are offered in all areas of study: medical, engineering, and arts courses.

Pakistani international students come to Ukraine and join different master’s courses in different areas of study.

Master’s courses duration is normally 2 years in Ukraine at national universities.

Pakistani international students who have already passed a bachelor’s in Pakistan or abroad may apply for admission to graduate faculties in Ukraine.

At all graduate faculties, there is a good presence of Pakistani international students in Ukraine, and every year their numbers are increasing.

Pakistani international students mostly like to study for their master’s courses in English as their medium of instruction in Ukraine.

UKRAINE STUDENT VISA PROCESS FOR INTERNATIONAL PAKISTANI STUDENTS

International students from Pakistan obtain their visas from the Ukraine Visa Center VFS in Pakistan.

Visa issuance systems are not that difficult for the UK, USA, Canada, or other European countries.

After issuance of a study invitation by the Ministry of Education, a confirmation is sent to the embassy for each applicant’s official admission, and the student presents the rest of the documents at the VFS Visa Center.

VISA REQUIREMENTS AT THE EMBASSY OF UKRAINE IN PAKISTAN FOR VISA ISSUANCE

The Ukrainian Embassy is located in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad.

The documents required for a study visa are:

1. Original passport (must be valid for one year)

2. Six passport-size photos (6 x 4)

3. Complete the filled application form.

4. Original study invitation from the Ministry of Education, Ukraine

5. Original HIV test certificate (Embassy will translate this document)

6. Original School Certificate (The embassy will translate and legalize this document.)

7. Original Birth Certificate (Embassy will translate and legalize this document)

8. Original medical examination certificate certified by the official body (Embassy will translate and legalize this document)
