FOR ZIMBABWEAN STUDENTS

We have more than 120 Zimbabwean international students studying at different faculties in Ukraine, and more Zimbabwean applicants are waiting for their admissions for the 2025-2026 intakes.

The native language of Zimbabwe is English, so Zimbabwean international students study for their degree programs in English as their medium of instruction, but still a few study at a Ukrainian language faculty in their first year; after that, they join their desired degree programs in Ukrainian as the medium of instruction.

International Zimbabwean students normally study at medical universities in Ukraine and some at engineering and economics universities.

They are normally good at their studies, and higher education is their priority, provided they can afford it.

ADMISSION PROCESS AT UKRAINIAN UNIVERSITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL ZIMBABWEAN STUDENTS

The same admission process for international students applies to Zimbabwean international students, who want to study their higher education at national universities in Ukraine.

Interested Zimbabwean applicants scan their secondary school certificate with an international passport copy in the email of the admissions office (ukrainianacademies@gmail.com) for eligibility assessment, and it takes 1-2 days, and they are informed about their eligibility or ineligibility by the admissions office.

Eligible Zimbabwean international applicants transfer their invitation fee and scan the receipt in the email of the admissions office for our records.

As we receive the admission fee, their documents are forwarded for the processing of an official study invitation at the Ministry of Education, Ukraine. This processing takes 1-2 days, and once issued, it is scanned in the email of the applicant, and sent by courier to the applicant as they require the original study invitation for Ukraine visa processing.

POPULAR COURSES IN UKRAINE AMONG ZIMBABWEAN INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

1: GENERAL MEDICINE

Zimbabwean international students come to Ukraine every year and study at general medicine faculties.

Ukraine offers the best general medicine courses at national medical universities, and for this reason, Zimbabwean international medical students always choose Ukraine as their study abroad destination.

General medicine courses are offered in Ukraine with English as the medium of instruction, so Zimbabwean international medical students prefer Ukraine always to other European countries.

Zimbabwean international medical students who have passed their secondary school may join general medicine programs in Ukraine at national medical universities.

2: NURSING

Nursing courses are offered in Ukraine at national medical universities, and Zimbabwean international students every year arrive in Ukraine to study nursing at these medical universities, which work under the Ministry of Health, Ukraine, and are recognized by WHO.

There are 3 levels of nursing studies in Ukraine offered for foreign students: an associate diploma in nursing, a bachelor’s in nursing, and a master’s in nursing.

International Zimbabwean students normally join a bachelor’s in nursing, but they join other nursing study levels too in Ukraine.

For an associate diploma in nursing, Zimbabwean international students are required to have a secondary school certificate with them, and for a bachelor’s in nursing, admission requirements are the same.

For a master’s in nursing, Zimbabwean international students are required to have a bachelor’s degree with them at the time of admission in Ukraine.

3: PHARMACY

Pharmacy courses are offered in Ukraine at pharmaceutical and national medical universities for foreign and national students.

International Zimbabwean students also come to Ukraine to study for their pharmacy courses at these Ukrainian universities.

Pharmacy courses are offered in Ukraine at two degree levels: bachelor’s in pharmacy and master’s in pharmacy.

Zimbabwean international students come to study at both degree levels in Ukraine, but most Zimbabwean international students study for bachelor’s degree programs in Ukraine at pharmaceutical faculties.

4: DENTISTRY

Dentistry is offered in Ukraine at national medical universities. and Zimbabwean international students come every year to join dentistry faculties at these national medical universities.

Dentistry courses are offered with two mediums of instruction in Ukraine at these medical institutes, Ukrainian and English.

International Zimbabwean students are excellent at English, so they always prefer to study in Ukraine for their dentistry courses directly in English as their medium of instruction.

International Zimbabwean students send their secondary school certificate copy for admission in Ukraine to dentistry faculties.

At all dentistry faculties, there is a good presence of Zimbabwean international students in Ukraine, and hopefully, in the future, their numbers will increase at dentistry faculties.

5: MASTERS

Master’s degree courses in Ukraine are offered at all national universities, no matter if they are medical, engineering, or arts.

International Zimbabwean students come to Ukraine and study for their graduate programs at these different universities in their field of interest.

Most master’s courses are offered in Ukraine with English as the medium of instruction, and Zimbabwean international students always like to study their master’s courses in English.

There are many master’s courses offered in Ukraine with Ukrainian as the medium of instruction, so for these Ukrainian medium master’s courses, Zimbabwean international students in their first year study at a Ukrainian language faculty and then study their master’s programs.

UKRAINE STUDENT VISA PROCESS FOR ZIMBABWEAN INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has assigned the Ukrainian embassy in South Africa, Pretoria, for the Zimbabwean international students visa applications.

Applicants complete their visa documents file and apply for a visa at the Ukraine Visa Center VFS GLOBAL in Harare.

Applicants must carefully complete their files for visa applications, as missing even one document may result in the wastage of time, and the visa will be refused.

Once the visa is issued, please do not forget to scan the visa copy to prepare the reception documents for immigration at the airport in Ukraine.

VISA REQUIREMENTS AT THE EMBASSY OF UKRAINE IN SOUTH AFRICA

The Ukrainian Embassy is located in Pretoria, South Africa.

The documents required for a study visa are:

1. Original passport (must be valid for one year)

2. Six passport-size photos (6 x 4)

3. Complete the filled application form.

4. Original study invitation from the Ministry of Education, Ukraine

5. Original School Certificate with Grades or Points (should be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe OR should be with the apostle seal) (the embassy will translate and legalize this document)

6. Original birth certificate (should be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe OR should be with the Apostle seal) (The embassy will translate and legalize this document.)

7. Original medical examination certificate certified by the official body (should be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe OR should be with the apostle seal) (the embassy will translate and legalize this document)
