WHERE TO STUDY ASTRONOMY IN UKRAINE?

Astronomy is offered at national universities in Ukraine, which are owned by the government of Ukraine and work under the Ministry of Education, Ukraine.

DEGREE LEVELS FOR ASTRONOMY IN UKRAINE

1: BACHELOR

An undergraduate degree in astronomy consists of 4 years.

For the admission, foreign students should have a secondary school certificate with them, and they must have studied physics and mathematics.

For example, Nigerian international students who have completed their secondary school with physics and mathematics may qualify for admission to astronomy faculties at an undergraduate level.

Ghanaian international students also may qualify with the same conditions as Nigerian international students.

Cameroonian international students also require a secondary school certificate with physics and mathematics.

Zambian international students also require the same qualification as other African international students for admission to astronomy faculties in Ukraine.

2: MASTERS

Foreign students who have completed their bachelor’s degree may qualify for admission in astronomy at Ukrainian national universities.

A master’s degree in astronomy consists of 2 years at national universities.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDYING ASTRONOMY

All foreign students who come to Ukraine to study astronomy, in their first year, study at a Ukrainian language faculty with science subjects, and then after the language course, foreign students join their astronomy degree programs in Ukraine.

WHERE DO FOREIGN STUDENTS STAY DURING HIGHER EDUCATION IN UKRAINE?

Foreign students who come to Ukraine to study astronomy at national universities stay at university hostels during their whole academic period.

These university hostels are fully equipped with living facilities.

At these hostels in Ukraine for astronomy students, 3 students share a room.

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR ASTRONOMY

Interested foreign students scan their educational documents with international passport copies in the email of admissions staff for assessment.

The admissions staff completes the assessment process within 2 days maximum and informs the foreign applicants by email about admission results.

Eligible foreign applicants send their admission fee and inform the admissions office by email.

Upon receiving the admission fee, their documents are sent to the Ministry of Education, Ukraine, as the admissions for foreign students to study any course, and the official study invitations are issued by the Ministry of Education, Ukraine.

Once a study invitation is issued, it is sent to the applicant through a courier service.

UKRAINE STUDENT VISA PROCESS FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

Once the admission letters are received by the foreign students, they complete the Ukraine study visa file for submission at the Ukraine visa center, and within 2 weeks, a Ukraine student visa is issued.

Foreign students scan the visa and air ticket copy to the admissions office, as the admissions staff requires these copies for the preparation of reception documents.

The admissions office receives the foreign student at the international airport in Ukraine and manages the accommodation and studies.
